Hide AdMargaret Wyatt, Grovehill: ‘I am a Jehovah’s Witness and we don’t celebrate Lent. Anyone can give up anything at an y time – it’s self control – why should we have a certain time to do it?’
Claire Thompson. Grovehill: ‘I did Lent when I was youngerbut at that age it was my mother’s influence, and it was to stop things like biting my nails. I don’t drink an awful lot and I don’t smoke, so I don’t give anything up.’
Kojo Bonti-Amoako, Grovehill: ‘You decide something and two days or weeks down the road, you change it. If you make a decision, that’s OK, and if you don’t follow it, that’s OK too. We must have courage to say, I’m human.’
