Getting to know: Samantha Jones

Samantha Jones is Chief Executive of the West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust and in charge of the area’s three hospitals that cover Hemel Hempstead, Watford and St Albans. A mum of twins, she took up the post in February last year coming from the position of director of Care UK.

Not work and just be with my family

The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand to try and prevent it.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Living in Tudor times to see what it was really like!

Frozen! – The Disney film that has taken the world by storm

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Say goodbye to my mum for the last time after she died

What’s the best/worst gift you’ve ever given/received?

My children (best), a Hoover (worst!)

As a good mum, who tried her best and someone who was passionate about doing the right thing for healthcare
