What is your favourite food?

Definitely Indian food. I particularly love dining at Infinity on Waterhouse Street in Hemel Hempstead – it’s a brilliant restaurant with real Indian cuisine.

What’s the most played song on your iPod?

Nothing Else Matters by Metallica (released in 1992 as the third single from the band’s self-titled fifth studio album) – it’s my favourite song.

Favourite quote?

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world” – Mahatma Gandhi.

Favourite thing to do to relax?

Watching or playing cricket. It’s my favourite sport by a long way.

What is the one thing you hate the most?

Lying awake at night struggling to sleep.

If you could have 5 famous people for dinner – past or present – who would you pick and why?

1. Winston Churchill – An amazing man. I’d love to question him about World War II.

2. Nelson Mandela – Just an extraordinary character and human being.

3. Mahatma Ghandi – The father of peace. I’d love to see how he got on with Winston!

4. Darragh Macanthony – Chairman of my beloved Peterborough United FC

5. Brian Lara – My favourite batsman of all time!

What was the last film you watched?

Kingsman: Secret Service. It was great!

If you knew the world was ending in 2015, what would you do differently?

Desperately try and find a way of moving to Mars…

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A pilot, but they said I was too tall!

If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be and why?

The end of poverty.

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Leaving the Solomon Islands after four wonderful years of my family living there. It’s a beautiful country.

What’s the best or worst gift you have ever given or received?

Best: A top quality digital camera, Nikkon D3200.

Worst: A Rubik’s cube. I just don’t have the patience for it.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a kind person who put other people’s welfare before his own.

What is your favourite thing to do or place to visit in Dacorum?

Walking my dog Carrie along the Grand Union canal and ending up at the Three Horseshoes pub at Winkwell for lunch. Perfect!!
