Challenge Yourself: Spare wool needed for knit and natter group

Want to challenge yourself? There are a number of volunteering opportunities and needs across Dacorum.

Volunteer Centre Dacorum

We urgently need your spare wool to help our knit and natter group keep going?

Our knitters meet monthly at our Centre in the Marlowes and turn double knit and three or four ply wool into beautiful handmade garments.

The colourful hats, scarves, jumpers and blankets bring smiles and joy and make a real difference to the lives of babies and children at home and overseas.

If you have any wool to donate or would like to become a volunteer knitter, we would love to hear from you.

Age UK Dacorum

If volunteering is your New Year’s resolution why not help out at a new fun and stimulating club for older people with mild to moderate memory problems in Kings Langley or Hemel Hempstead?

COGS clubs are run by Age UK Dacorum and are based on a programme of structured activity that has been found to help improve social relationships and self-esteem of people with mild to
moderate dementia. If you enjoy the company of older people, are friendly, fun loving, caring and kind and can spare some time on Tuesdays or Saturdays, this could be the volunteering role for you.
