Christ Church Hemel will meet at Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School in Peascroft Road. The new church has been formed by around 40 Hemel residents of all ages who had been travelling to St Albans to attend church.

Now, supported by the St Albans church, they are starting a new congregation in their home town.

Their pastor is father-of-three Sam Buckley, who said: “We’re really looking forward to meeting in our own community. And as Christmas approaches we’re looking forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus together. We’d love people to join us.”

Christ Church Hemel will meet at 10.30am every Sunday. A crèche for babies and a Sunday club for primary school children will be available during the service.
