A “top secret mayor Hollywood production” has been shooting on location in Bonvingdon according to county chiefs - but they have been sworn to secrecy about the details.
Herts County Council made the revelation last week when listing the number of film and television productions which have come to the county over the last year.
These have included Avengers: Age Of Ultron in Rickmansworth, and the Sky1 drama Apocalypse Slough shooting on locations such as Watford town centre and Slough.
Films previously shot in Bovingdon include the Brad Pitt film Fury, where a German village was recreated at Bovingdon Airfield.
David Williams, cabinet member for enterprise, said: “Hertfordshire is already a very popular destination for the industry and it’s great to see that more production companies see us an appealing and convenient filming location.”
