Assistant Suffolk Coroner Dr Daniel Sharpstone said a passer-by discovered Sonya’s Peugeot 206 car in a ditch in a wooded area by the roadside.

Emergency services were called but she was declared dead at the scene.

Dr Sharpstone said initial medical findings indicated that Sonya died as a result of having suffered spinal injuries. Sonya, who had formerly lived in Victoria Road, Oulton Broad before moving to Roman Way, Stoke Ash four and a half years ago, was mother to four children, the youngest just four months old at the time of her death.

The inquest was adjourned until May 26.
