Meet the Champneys class of 2014 – beauty therapists of the future
Tring’s luxury spa resort Champneys is proud to introduce the beauty therapists of the future, following a 100% pass rate on its latest training course.
The country’s oldest health spa has a new cohort of graduates from its International College of Health and Beauty, specialising in Beauty Therapy.
All students taking the CIBTAC qualification passed first time through the Champneys College, which prides itself on training therapists to the most exceptional standards in the world.
Located within the grounds of the Tring resort, the College enjoys the benefits of the tranquil setting of the countryside while having excellent communication links with London.
The spa’s trained aestheticians and therapists are regarded as highly qualified, exceptional and talented qualified beauty therapists – and this has attracted students from across the globe.
But included in the class of 2014 are a number of entrants from the Herts, Beds and Bucks area, including Sophie Moynihan from Leverstock Green, Hemel Hempstead, and Kelly Brown of Abbots Langley.
Kelly even won the title of ‘Champneys College Holistic Therapist of the year’ after achievingthe highest marks in her practical Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage and Stone Therapy.
Her Holistic tutor Sarah Stone said: “Kelly is a true Holistic therapist, very client-focused, with a lovely compassionate nature. Her knowledge of holistic treatments is extensive, having completed her research project on the effects of essential oilson people with no sense of smell.
“She has a very caring nature and an inner professionalism that is ideally suited to Beauty Therapy.”
In order to complete their training, the graduates had to achieve CIBTAC qualifications – the equivalent to NVQ level 2 and level 3 beauty – and then complete the world-recognised CIDESCO post-graduate qualification only available to qualified therapists.
The Champneys Collegegraduates of 2014 are now able to boast an exceptionally professional and highly regarded degree for the rest of their working careers.
The college is now in its 37th year of offering Beauty Therapy training and guarantee students the 600 hours employment required to obtain the full CIDESCO diploma.
Successful graduates will be offered employment over a six-month period.
