The Mayor of Dacorum hosted Afternoon Tea for 85 people at Shendish Manor on Sunday, September 13.
As part of the Mayor’s Appeal, Gbola Adeleke is supporting Rennie Grove Hospice Care and the event raised more than £800 for his chosen charity.
Guests enjoyed finger sandwiches, home-made sultana scones, clotted cream and preserve, an assortment of afternoon tea desserts and tea or coffee, accompanied by music from the Felicity Taylor Jazz Trio.
Rennie Grove is delighted that the mayor is supporting the charity during 2015/16.
Director of fundraising and marketing Gillian Barnett said: “This year marks 30 Years of Care for Rennie Grove and, with the number of over-75s predicted to double in the next 30 years, we are preparing now to meet an anticipated increase in demand for our service in the future.
“Having the Mayor’s support to raise vital funds and awareness for us makes a huge difference.”
