He faced a further historical charge of committing an act of gross indecency against a young girl, again in Hemel Hempstead.

At the time of the earliest alleged incidents, Oliver would have been a teenager himself.

Her Honour Judge Marie Catterson said to Oliver: “A lengthy custodial sentence is inevitable – you had better brace yourself for that.”

Oliver, of Heol Fedw, Swansea, Wales, remains in police custody and will appear for sentencing on Friday, August 21.
