Man jailed for downloading child pornography

A 48-year-old man has been handed a 20-month jail sentence for downloading extreme pornographic images on his computer.

Joseph Edward Quinn, of Leggfield Terrace, Hemel Hempstead, pleaded guilty to six counts of making indecent images of children, one count of possession of extreme pornographic image – an act of intercourse/oral sex with a dead/alive animal – and one count of possession of a prohibited image of children.

The eight offences were committed between July 20, 2013 and October 9, 2014.

Quinn was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court on Tuesday, January 19.

He had to pay a victim surcharge of £100, have his computer destroyed and is banned from working with children.
