It’s not just hearse-say: Cemetery project launched at heritage open day with release of doves
A project to make better use of green space at Rectory Lane Cemetery was launched with a heritage open day on Sunday.
The event began with a horse-drawn hearse parade from St Peters Church to the cemetery, followed by a release of doves.
A consultation team listened to feedback and ideas on how the green space can be better used, and options for future uses of the land were displayed.
