Members of the public are invited to attend a stroke awareness event on Thursday, to mark World Stroke Day.
The event, which runs from 9am to 11am at Hemel Hempstead Civic Centre, is being organised by Dacorum Borough Council and leading healthcare technology company Boston Scientific.
Stroke is a major issue in the UK with a stroke occurring every three and a half minutes.
Awareness of the symptoms and causes of stroke is critical in combating the condition.
World Stroke Day takes place every October to raise awareness of stroke and the impact it has on individuals and families, and provide information on the long-term care and support of stroke survivors.
