Hospital chief to host ‘meet the boss’ events

A series of ‘meet the boss’ events, each lasting 90 minutes, are being held next month when the chief executive will update people with the latest hospital news and ask for feedback on services.

Ms Jones, who joined West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust in February 2013, said: “I spend a lot of time meeting and speaking with local people and patients about the work of our hospitals, but I am keen to do more.

“I’d encourage as many local people to pop along to one of our events. I’ll be providing an update on the things we’ve done over the last year and on our plans fro the future. This includes the work we are doing with our partners to develop a long-term strategy for health and social care in west Hertfrodshire.

“I’m also keen to hear what people have to say about the services and care we provide and I will do my best to answer as many questions as I can. The events are free and I encourage people to come along and to let me have feedback.”

The meetings, all taking place between 6pm and 7.30pm, are taking place on:

>Thursday, December 11 at Watford General Hospital’s medical education centre in lecture theatre one.

>Thursday, December 18 at St Albans Hospital’s post graduate centre in the lecture hall.

>Tuesday, December 23 at Hemel Hempstead Hospital’s medical education centre in the seminar room.

There is no need to book a place but entry will be on a first come, first served basis.
