Here’s a late Christmas present from Santa!

The annual Rennie Grove Hospice Care’s Santa float which visited excited youngsters in Tring, Marsworth, Pitstone, Wigginton and Cheddington in the run up to the 25th raised a whopping £3,759.76 this year.

The cash will go towards helping patients who are suffering from life limiting illnesses and their families who are supported by the Tring-based charity.

Rennie Grove community fundraiser Claire Redrup said: “We would like to thank all of the wonderful volunteers who helped including the drivers, Santas and all the elves who knocked on doors, walked miles and gave up their time to help out with the community event.

“We tried our very hardest to get to as many households as we possibly can and apologise to anyone we didn’t visit.

“If you want to see the float again next year, please do consider volunteering yourselves.

“The more people we get to help out the more houses we can visit and the more money we can raise.”
