Handmade and heartfelt tribute to the fallen
Over 700 handmade Poppies adorned Ashlyns Care Home this week, as part of a tribute to those who gave their lives for all our freedom.
Staff, residents and their families made the flowers, which are displayed on the walled garden that surrounds the home in Chesham Road, Berkhamsted.
Manager Diane Delicate said: “We were inspired by the thousands of poppies at the Tower of London which I saw when I visited last year.
“Thanks to everyone who took part in this project and gave a lot of their spare time.”
