The green delights of Bovingdon
Five private gardens of different styles and planting open around Bovingdon village green on Sunday (July 3), all within walking distance of each other
These include a well-known botanical artist’s garden with unusual and colourful annuals, a well-planned contemporary one, a secluded plantswoman’s garden, and two delightful landscaped gardens with mixed perennial planting and roses.
Cricket will be played on the green, while lunch, teas and Pimms’ will be on sale in various gardens.
There will also be a plants stall.
The event runs from 12-5pm, tickets are £5 with all proceeds going to the Friends of St Lawrence Trust. Children under 16 go free.
