The accolade is only given to venues delivering the very highest level of customer service.

Those awarded Gold achieved the highest Net Promoter Score of all the UK meeting venues eligible for VenueVerdict awards in 2014.

It comes after a large volume of positive customer feedback gathered in the 12-month period from January to December of last year.

Ashridge House is a venue for conferences and meetings as well as hosting the business school’s extensive schedule of executive education programmes.

The awards – independently operated by market research specialist BDRC Continental – were determined by around 21,250 customer surveys across 375 UK conference venues and hotels.

Anna Brown, hospitality director at Ashridge House, said: “This award recognises the outstanding effort that we put into making our clients experience at Ashridge House productive, enjoyable and memorable, on a daily basis.

“We are committed to delivering services that continue to exceed customer expectation.”

James Bland, director of hotels and hospitality at BDRC Continental, said: “Achieving a Net Promoter Score of +70 or more – the score required for Gold Standard Accreditation – is difficult enough, but to do so consistently over the year requires dedication to providing excellent hospitality.

“Just 8% of the 375 venues participating in the VenueVerdict programme met the required levels this year, making attaining or retaining our Gold Standard Accreditation a tremendous achievement.”
