The distinctive bright red Herts Air Ambulance has been flying and saving lives across the county and beyond since 2008 and is making a new appeal.
The charity is calling on the people of Hertfordshire to Go Red in celebration of National Air Ambulance Week, running from September 21 until September 27, to help raise vital funds to keep the life-saving helicopter flying.
Ideas for fundraising include hosting a red-themed dinner party, wear red for the day at home or work, or live it up with a red cocktail or smoothie evening with friends.
However you decide to Go Red simply ask your friends, colleagues or guests to make a small donation to Herts Air Ambulance.
Maria Alexander, Herts Air Ambulance fundraising manager, said: “We always have loads of fun with Go Red and it’s great to see how people of all ages from across Hertfordshire get behind for this national awareness week.
“Every red-inspired idea is welcome as all donations make a difference. Last year Go Red raised over £6,870 and, with everyone’s support we can raise even more this year. So please register today and help keep Herts Air Ambulance flying.”
Everyone who registers for Go Red will automatically be entered into a free prize draw to win an overnight stay at the beautiful Hanbury Manor in Ware.
Anything goes for Go Red week, and registration is now open.
