A fundraising page has been created to support the families who have had their homes damaged by yesterday's fire in Northchurch, near Berkhamsted.

Michael Lee set up the page after he heard about the fire that damaged four homes in Herons Elm, Northchurch, yesterday (Thursday).

The fire service ended the incident just before 7pm, in total nine fire engines attended the fire.

Michael set up the Go Fund Me to support the families affected by the fire, he hopes to raise £5,000.

He said: "My mums house backs onto where where it started and I know quite a few of the residents that live there.

"I wanted to do something to help, the reaction to the page has been great, we have raised over £3,500 in less than 24 hours.

"I set a target of £5,000 and I think we will reach that.

"I think there are four families that have been affected by the fire.

"The fundraising page will close on Sunday night so I can get the money to the families as soon as possible."

The fundraising page has raised over £3,600, to make a donation, visit: www.gofundme.com/f/fire-familes-northchuch.
