Hospital campaign cut-out

Over the last seven days more than 2,250 readers have signed our online petition, calling on the government to recognise that the removal of Accident and Emergency facilities seven years ago has proven a failure.

We have also had countless emails supporting our campaign, while our post bag has been bulging with readers who have filled out our form expressing their opinions.

This week our reporter Becca Choules grilled government health minister Ben Gummer MP, who admitted that the issue is a “matter of money”.

And Victoria West has looked back on the original campaign against closing the department nearly seven years ago.

Please keep supporting our campaign - tell us what you think, spread the word, and help us to make sure Hemel Hempstead’s voice is heard loud and clear at Westminster.

So sign our petition online, or fill in the attached form and send it to The Hemel Hempstead Gazette, The Gatehouse, Gatehouse Way, Aylesbury.

Only together can we force our health bosses to re-think a policy that simply has not worked, and get A&E back to Hemel Hempstead.
