Belvoir manager Mansoor Akram visited the school to donate the £367 cheque following a fundraising Halloween evening and Christmas evenings at Hemel Old Town.

The company also donated £500 last summer.

Woodfield’s hydrotherapy pool has been closed as it was no longer in a working condition.

Deputy headteacher Beverley Hamilton said: “We are very grateful to Mansoor for supporting the school, as every donation is a step closer to our pool being able to open once again for the children.”

“We are pleased to say that the first stage of works, on the plant room and pool itself, has begun. The second stage will be the building around the pool, which we hope will begin in March.”
