Free service helps more than 24,000 victims of crime
Beacon is a countywide service, headed by the Police and Crime Commissioner.
People helped include a victim of stalking who was suffering from severe stress relating to what had happened to her. An NHS care team visited her at her home the same day as she made contact with Beacon and her support is continuing.

Hide AdAnother victim was a disabled woman suffering from domestic abuse who does not want to report the matter to police. She is also receiving ongoing support.
Victims of crime can access information and advice to access services via www.hertfordshirebeacon.org or by calling 03000 11 55 55 from 7am to 10pm. Calls are charged at a local rate.
Fraud victims can also report their crime to Action Fraud at www.actionfraud.police.uk or on 0300 123 2040.
