Free fruit keeps little ones occupied during the supermarket dash

Tesco in Tring hopes the healthy treats will keep youngsters occupied and make the shopping dash easier for mums and dads.

The store launched the initiative, which has been praised by customers, on Wednesday.

Store manager Roly Lumm said: “The response has been absolutely fantastic. Customers have been telling me all week how great it is.

“It is making the shopping trip so much easier because the kids are then less focussed on the goodies that we sell because they are focused on what they are eating.”
