A four-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a road accident this morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Varney Road, Hemel Hempstead at around 10.30am, involving the young pedestrian and a red Volkswagen Transporter.
The boy suffered serious injuries and has been taken by Helimed air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital.
Officers from the Herts, Beds and Cambs road policing unit are investigating the incident and are urging anyone who saw the incident but has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
