DJ Lewis Cox was inspired to get into events management at an early age and believes there isn’t enough on offer for teens in the area to enjoy a night out and music.
He set about creating his own company Humidity Events, which will be running its second ever under-18s night at the venue in Waterhouse Street next month.

Hide AdLewis, who is studying Media at West Herts College and lives in nearby Watford, said: “It’s an event for under-18s run by myself, and I’m also under 18.
“I am a DJ and I quite liked the idea of making my own sideline projects, such as events.
“I have run a couple of parties which turned out to be quite successful, so people suggested I started planning other events.
“I wanted to start making club nights but because of my age, I couldn’t get straight into that so the event at the Function Rooms is a new idea. The night is going to be a foam party which I think will appeal more to the younger crowd.”

Hide AdLewis has already been at the helm of one event at the Function Rooms, but he expects his second attempt to be even more successful as it has already attracted a lot of interest through social media and the club’s Facebook page.
Lewis added: “I have done this once or twice but I am hoping this event will be a much bigger success – it has now had time to build an audience.
“I hope to make it a regular event.”
The foam party and DJ night will be held at the Function Rooms from 7pm to 11pm on Wednesday, April 15.
Suitable for 13 to 17 year olds only, tickets for the event can be bought online for £8 or on the door for £10.
