New Hemel Hempstead care home Water Mill House is offering a free financial care seminar to help families consider costs of having someone in care.

The free to attend talk will take place at the Rose Lane facility next Wednesday, January 14 from 6pm to 8pm.

The home, off Red Lion Lane,is part of the Carebase independent group of private care homes offering high quality residential, nursing and dementia care services throughout the region.

During the seminar the home will welcome Andrew Dixson-Smith from Eldercare Solutions Ltd to provide practical, independent advice and guidance on all aspects of financing and funding long term care.

Navijean Mandair from The Legal practice will also attend to talk about the importance of Power of Attorney.

Other issues that will be covered during the event include the government’s Care Act and what it means for indviduals, financing long-term care for those who are self-funding, government funding, tax implications and advice on selling your property and moving.
