Engineers are currently working to fix a burst 15-inch water main in Hemel Hempstead for the second day.
Although staff from Affinity Water began work to fix the issue yesterday, and to remove a redundant gas pipe which was blocking the repair, the existing split then expanded.
The pipe is on Swallowdale Lane , by the roundabout that leads to the household waste recycling centre on Eastman Way.
A spokesperson for Affinity Water said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by a burst on a 15-inch water main at Swallowdale Lane in Hemel Hempstead.
“Our team are currently on site to repair the damaged water main and we would like to thank our customers for their patience whilst we carry out this repair.”
