Pupils and staff and Kings Langley School have raised £13,000 for cancer charities and equipment in their latest fundraiser.
The school broke from tradition and held the fancy dress walk at the start of term, with 1,200 pupils and almost 100 staff taking part.
A school spokeswoman said: “Due to everyone being involved we had to call on the office staff, the finance team and our chair of governors to get involved on the day to ensure the event went to plan.
“The pupils on the day were absolutely outstanding, the range of fancy dress costumes was incredible including superheroes to minions. “It was a concern that with a two and a half week turnaround period we were going to fall short of our fundraising target of £10,000. “However there was no need to worry as currently we have raised £13,000 for cancer charities and to fund school equipment, which shows the amount of effort everyone involved in the day put into raising money.”
