Facebook appeal for help to find missing teenager gets shared more than 1,000 times

A Facebook message appealing for help to find a missing teenager has been shared more than 1,000 times.

It is thought that Jasmin Maddox, 18, from Berkhamsted, was last seen in Watford on Monday.

The Facebook message says: “She has to take medication for a heart operation she had at the age of two, so we are all very anxious and concerned.

“Any information as to her whereabouts would be greatly appreciated!

“You can let us know by contacting Herts Police. Family, boyfriend, friends and carers are extremely worried.”

The message lists an old phone number for the force – its new number is 101. Police say they will not be issuing any publicity about Jasmin as it has not been authorised by the family.

At the time that this article was published, the Facebook post had been shared at least 1,184 times.
