Ericka Waller, who was born and raised in Northchurch, was at Berkhamsted’s High Street Waterstones to sign copies of Confessions of a Mother Inferior.

“There is no feeling like going into your hometown and seeing a big poster with your book and name on it,” said Ericka - mum to Gracie, seven, Daisy, four and Bliss, three.

The book, which is dedicated to Ericka’s late friend Sara Williams, is a warts and all look at parenting and marriage with small children.

Around 70 people turned out for the signing where cake was served up and Laila Walker sang during the evening.

Ericka said: “We sold 40 books on the night and it’s now in stock in store because it has been selling so well.”

The book is also on sale online with Amazon where it has been receiving five star reviews.
