Businesses in Herts honoured for supporting armed forces Reservists

The school received the government department’s Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award for demonstrating support to Reservist employees.

The county council, Herts Police and Fire and Rescue services were also honoured at the ceremony, which was held at Knebworth House and presented by Richard Bleazley Esq DL, the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire.

Each of the ten companies employ military service Reservists and have demonstrated their support for Defence from training courses to mobilisation.

Tesco and Affinity Water were also among those to receive the prestigious award.

Col. William Brown, Herts County Forum chairman and employment engagement group chairman Col. Chris Sharwood-Smith gave speeches at the event.
