Ebola appeal: please help the people of west Africa combat this deadly virus
A Berkhamsted Oxfam volunteer is urging the public to back the charity’s appeal for money to expand its work to combat the deadly ebola virus in west Africa.

Audrey Hope said: “Oxfam is supporting the medical effort with water and sanitation for treatment centres and supplies such as masks, gloves, soap and hygiene kits.
“Crucially it is also engaged in public education training - 500,000 people have been reached in Sierra Leona but many millions more are at risk. Work is also being undertaken in Liberia.”
