Doggies dress for Christmas walk

Friendly pooches enjoyed a festive get together at Ashridge monument.

French and British bulldogs meet at the monument every other month and enjoy a walk around the National Trust park .

But their Christmas meeting was particularly festive as the pooches threw themselves into the spirit of the season as many attended dressed in bright red coats and their equally festive owners carried tinsel.

The group was first set up by Helen Kirk and her friend Charlotte on Facebook and started with just nine French and British bulldogs.

The group grows with each walk and the festive meeting saw 25 pooches take part in the festive stroll.

The group is now hoping to start collecting £1 per person attending from the new year to donate towards the local dog charity Chiltern Dog Rescue Centre.

So the owners and their pets will be doing a little charity work whilst having fun outdoors on their scenic walks.
