The Petertide Fair is being held on Saturday, June 13, with a dog show among new attractions.
Berkhamsted’s town fair, held in the grounds of St Peter’s Church on the High Street, returns with annual favourites including vintage, plants, cakes, books and toy stalls plus sideshows, silent auction and refreshments. The fun takes place between 10.30am and 3pm.
For the children there are train rides across the lawn, Punch and Judy, china smash and games. New this year will be the Petertide Dog Show.
School pupils from Victoria, Thomas Coram and Ashlyns will be performing music pieces Berkhamsted Ukulele Random Players and Stop and Search bands also taking to the stage.
The Petertide Fair is raising money for St Peter’s and also the neighbouring Swan Youth Centre charity on Berkhamsted High Street which provides a safe and supervised haven for young people (12-18 years) from the town and surrounding villages.
The centre strives to foster a sense of social responsibility and provides opportunities for exploring music, sport and the arts.
