There’s a coffee morning with a difference in Hemel Hempstead this week as fundraisers host their events for Macmillan.
If you pop in to the Boxmoor and Warners End Community Centre on Friday, September 25 between 10am and noon, there’s a special welcome.
As well as enjoying some tea, coffee and delicious cakes, you can find out more about the activities available to all.
The Dacorum Communities For Learning (DCFL) along with the Boxmoor and Warners End Community Centre, in Stoneycroft, sends out an invitation to their Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Last year’s event raised £281.33.
A centre spokeswoman said: “Come and join us for a tea or coffee and some lovely cakes to either eat there or take home with you.
“As well as raising money for this worthwhile charity you will also have the opportunity should you wish to try out a tablet or laptop and find out what courses are on offer.
“So if you are a technophobe give it a go with the guidance of one of our tutors.
“We will also have arts and crafts tasters and cooking or cake decorating demos or tasters. There will also be information about events, activities, groups and organisations in the Dacorum area.”
Visitors will find information about what’s on at the community centre.
Boxmoor and Warners End Community Centre is located adjacent to the beautiful Northridge Park, and can also cater for special occasions such as weddings and birthday parties. Call the centre on 01442 213339.
