The series of free talks at Water Mill House – part of the Carebase provider company – featured speaker Tim Dallinger, a leading social care consultant and trainer.

The seminars are designed for members of the community who wish to find out more about the condition, as well as local health and social care professionals who want to refresh their knowledge – and more are hoped to be held at the care venue in future.

Water Mill’s home manager Anna Marrah said: “So many families affected by dementia do not know where to turn to for help when confronted with the prospect that a loved one is living with the condition.

“We pride ourselves in supporting families through the concerns and challenges they are having, so seminars are an invaluable resource for families. It is an opportunity for people to meet others who share similar experiences and concerns .”
