Daocrum firm gives staff an extra paid hour of time off to go and vote
Motor firm Vanarama have given staff an extra paid hour of time off to ensure that they all vote in today's referendum.
CEO Andy Alderson wants the 125-plus employees to have their say in the momentous decision, although he is not pressuring them to make a decision either way.
He said: “In an effort to encourage as many of my staff as possible to cast their vote in the EU referendum. I am going to give them all an extra hour of paid time off to get to the polling station.
“Whether they start late, take a longer lunch or go home earlier I don’t mind as long as they vote and no I’m not going to try and tell them which way to vote.”
