Police investigating an assault and theft in Hemel Hempstead have released an image of a woman they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.

The incident happened near to Debenhams on Riverside at around 1.25pm, on Wednesday, September 2.

Items have been stolen from Debenhams and a member of staff assaulted.

PCSO Louise Lester from the Town Centre Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "We have been conducting enquiries into this incident and would now like to release this image to the public in the hope we can identify the person pictured, as we believe they may have information that could assist our investigation.

"If you recognise them, please get in touch.

"We would like to reassure all those workers who are continuing to provide a service throughout this pandemic that we take all reports of assaults on persons whilst at work very seriously and are committed to exhausting all lines of enquiry we have."
