Man arrested on weapon and DUI charges after police seize stolen car in Hemel Hempstead

A 42-year-old man was arrested on weapon charges and for driving while intoxicated after police seized a stolen car in Hemel Hempstead.

The Ford Fiesta was recovered on false plates after being spotted by police in High Street Green in the early hours of Saturday morning, January 11.

After searching the vehicle at the scene officers discovered a baton inside, which was seized.

A police spokesman said: "This Ford Fiesta is now back with its rightful owner after it was stolen during a burglary in Adeyfield just after Christmas."
