The force received reports from members of the public regarding this problem on echo, the LIVE OWL chats and the control room.

On Monday night, after a motorcycle failed to stop for police in Adeyfield, officers on these dedicated patrols, using local knowledge, were able to locate the bike abandoned in Bennetts End and it was seized.

Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant James Bessant said: "We have been directing our resources to deal with this problem based on the information being provided by the public.

"It is a difficult problem to resolve but we are taking positive action to both prosecute and disrupt those committing offences and causing anti social behaviour using motorcycles.

"I would encourage the community to continue to report these issues to us so we can direct our patrols effectively."
