The Oddy unit of 14 to 18-year-old Explorer Scouts, which has been in existence for over 30 years, needs a new leader as the present leader is stepping down.

The unit is a successful and happy groupof well-motivated young people who enjoy active unit meetings in and around Tring, contests, expeditions in the UK and abroad, and Duke of Edinburgh awards.

Many of the activities are run by the West Herts Scout District or the County of Hertfordshire Scouts.

Meetings take place weekly both indoors and outdoors during the school term. There is a team of experienced Scouters in place to support the unit leader.

No Scouting experience is necessary as all training needed is provided by the West Herts District Scout Council, which will also provide ongoing support via a personal training advisor.

As a leader in the Explorer section, you will see young people mature and grow in confidence and self-belief whilst having a great time.
