The group of seven are all fans of cosplay, which involves dressing up as fictional characters from comic books or films, and they all turned heads at Hemel Hempstead’s 17-screen IMAX cinema at Jarman Park on Friday (August 5).

Damian Hammond, of Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead, dressed as Killer Croc and said: “It was great fun – we had people coming over to ask for their picture to be taken with us.

“The film has had a lot of bad reviews but we really enjoyed it.”

Kit Horsley dressed as Enchantress, Karl Brunton as The Joker, Kurt Gooch was El Diablo, Shane Considine came as Cpt Boomerang, Izzi Winters was Harley Quinn, Luke Smith as Rick Flag and Damian as Killer Croc.

Luke, Shane and Izzi are Damian’s fellow cosplayers from Hemel, while Kurt is from Borehamwood and Kit and Karl are from Reading.

Suicide Squad, based on the DC Comics team of the same name, follows the collection of ‘disposable’ criminals who are sent on high-risk missions for the United States government.
