Vivo D’Arte is transferring from rehearsing at the Nora Grace Community Hall in Tring to the 600 seater Edwardian theatre from Wednesday July 29 through to Saturday August 1.

And for the talented young actors this will be their second production at the beautiful theatre, where Vivo D’Arte made its debut with Parade The Musical last month.

Filled with memorable and heart breaking songs including Consider Yourself, As Long As He Needs Me, I’d Do Anything, Where Is Love?and I’d Do Anything, Oliver! is the well known rags to riches tale of a young orphan boy who experiences Victorian London in both its wonder and its hidden world of thieves and villains.

With a host of iconic characters including Fagin, Nancy, Bill Sykes and Mr Bumble, Oliver! appeals to all ages.

Rehearsals have been taking place in the community hall at Tring with cast members from Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire who range in age from as young as six through to the eldest at 28

Casey Bird, 21, from Hemel Hempstead, plays the iconic gutsy role of Nancy. Casey attended Cavendish and Hemel Hempstead Schools followed by a year at the American Musical Theatre Academy of London.

She is determined to pursue a career on the stage and is thrilled to be playing such a famous role. She was in Vivo D’Artes production of Parade last month playing Lucille Frank and attracted positive reviews from the audience.

Formed in 2012 Vivo D’Arte is a theatre arts organisation that has grown quickly following a string of successful productions including Les Miserable, Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray and Our House.

Under the leadership and guidance of theatre and musical director Daniel Cowtan, the company aims to bring out the best in its students. Previous alumni and current performers have graduated from many leading music conservatoires, drama schools and performing institutions.

The show is on at 7.30pm on all four nights with additional matinee performances at 2.30pm on the Wednesday and Saturday.

Tickets for Oliver! cost from £12 to £16 and are available from the Watford Palace Theatre box office on 01923 225671.==
