Sportspace gyms in both Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted will be opening their doors to give people the chance to see what’s on offer.

Visitors can try out the gyms and take part in group exercise classes.

The leisure centres in Heath Lane, Hemel Hempstead, and Lagley Meadow, Douglas Gardens, in Berkhamsted is run by the charitable trust, Dacorum Sports Trust.

Children as young as eight can use the specially adapted gym equipment at the Hemel Hempstead venue and, those aged over 12, can attend a supervised session at the Berkhamsted gym.

Older people can, if they wish, take advantage of supervised sessions in a smaller more private gym at Hemel Hempstead, which runs alongside the bigger main gym area.

Sportspace offers more than 200 group exercise classes across its sites each week, ranging from pilates and yoga to body combat and metafit.
