‘Vital’ blood donation session in Tring

New and existing donors are being encouraged to give blood in the area.

NHS and Blood Transplant will be at Bishop Wood School, Frogmore Street, Tring, HP23 5AU, on Saturday January 10, from 9:30am-12:30pm and 2pm-4pm.

Every blood donation is vital but NHS Blood and Transplant particularly needs to ensure supplies of the universal blood group O Rh Negative which is often in short supply as demand is so great.

Registration open to join the Chiltern cycle challenge

Registration is open now for this popular event which offers three different length cycle routes through the beautiful Chilterns countryside

Participants can choose from a 10k, 35 mile or 75 mile route, all starting and finishing in Aylesbury town centre.

Skydive for Rennie Grove

Sign up by March 27, with a deposit of £70, to take part in a special day of skydives for Rennie Grove Hospice Care.

There are 10 places available for a minimum sponsorship of £395, from which the hospice will receive £140. For full details see www.renniegrove.org/skydive

RAF Halton Sprint Triathlon returns

Take part on your own or in a team to complete the three legs of a Super Sprint Triathlon - a 300m swim, a 21 mile cycle ride and a 6.5k run.

Hemel Hempstead gymnastic extravaganza at Sportspace

Gymfusion at Sportspace in Hemel Hempstead are putting on a show for spectators on Sunday February 8.

There are two shows with multiple performances throughout the day, including individual and team 
gymnastics. Snacks and light refreshments will be available at the venue, including merchandise for 
sale.

Walk or run the hugely popular 10k at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden.

New drama class opening at Hemel Hempstead

Due to high demand at Performs current drama, dance and singing workshop, a new centre is opening in Bourne End.

Perform is a new type of children’s drama school. Focusing on child development, they offer exclusive classes for 4-7 year olds and they focus on helping children develop their social skills whilst having fun.

Join Box Moor birds mini wildlife explorers on The Big Bird Watch

The group is for children between the ages 4 and 8 years and are the youngest group of the RSPB, supported by The Box Moor Trust.

The Big Bird Watch is on Saturday January 17 at the Box Moor trust Centre, London Road, Hemel Hemptead, HP1 2 RE

Children must be accompanied by an adult with a charge of £1 per family.
