Shoe retailer Clarks and toy shop Toys ‘R’ Us will open their doors to new stores in Hemel Hempstead this autumn.
Clarks will be welcoming shoppers from midday on Friday, October 23 in the Riverside Shopping Centre.
The new shop, between H&M and Laura Ashley, will also offer services including first shoes and kids fitting services as well as a free click-and-collect option for online shoppers.
Katie Charlett, Clarks area sales manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to bring our newest Clarks store to the town centre and people of Hemel Hempstead.
“The interior of the new store in the Riverside is a big step forward and truly reflects our range of stylish women’s, men’s, and children’s shoes.
“I know that our new store manager Sarah and her team of style and fitting experts are looking forward to welcoming you all.”
The second new retailer for Riverside is sure to be popular with younger shoppers, as Toys R Us will be arriving in early November.
The family leisure, baby care and toy megastore will be open in time for visitors to shop in the lead up to Christmas, offering toys, games, electricals and more for babies and children of all ages.
Mike Coogan, marketing and e-commerce director for Toys R Us, said: “Riverside presents a great opportunity for Toys R Us and we are looking forward to being able to offer shoppers in Hemel a local and convenient one-stop shop for kid’s fun and games.
“We are confident of a successful opening.”
David Robinson, Riverside’s centre manager, said: “We are thrilled that two fantastic retailers will be joining us very soon.
“Both Topshop and Topman have been greatly received by shoppers, and we’re sure that Clarks and Toys R Us will also be extremely popular, and add a new mix to the centre.
The autumn additions follow on from the success of Topshop and Topman who opened a two-storey shop for men and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories in early August.
