A selection of trees from 4ft to 9ft high will be on sale until Sunday December 18, with prices starting at £30, and £5 from every tree sold goes to the hospice to fund its care this Christmas and all year round.

The trees are available at the hospice, in Spring Garden Lane, off Shootersway, every day from 9am to 5pm.

Car parking is available in the hospice’s beautiful grounds and there will be the opportunity to have a look around the gardens and see the Christmas Tree of Remembrance, which will be lit up at night throughout the festive season.

This year, for the first time, they will also be on sale at Sainsbury’s in Everard Close, St Albans, from 10am to 6pm.

The hospice’s commercial director, David Brodala, said: “We are delighted to be selling Christmas trees for the second year running, and this year in two locations.

“Last year we sold over 500 trees and, due to popular demand, they are back again.

“It’s a great opportunity for both the hospice and the local community.

“Our top-quality Christmas firs will bring festive life to homes and businesses in the area while also funding hospice care this Christmastime. These are the only Christmas trees available locally where part of the profits go to a charity.”

Christmas cards are also on sale in the hospice’s main reception and in its local shops. The hospice’s Number Twenty gift shop on Lower Kings Road, Berkhamsted, also has a range of Christmas decorations and gifts for sale.
