Chance to meet the bobbies on your beat at police surgery

Police officers and support staff protecting Tring’s streets are inviting people living in the town to talk about issues affecting them at a face-to-face event.

The meeting is a chance for residents to discuss any issues or concerns that they may have with their local Safer Neighbourhood Team officers, as well as get essential safety advice on a range of topics.

Officers and PCSOs will also be on hand to help people register their valuables with the secure online property register Immobilise.com, as well as share information about joining Neighbourhood Watch.

The ‘surgery’ takes place at Tring’s Silk Mill Community Centre in Silk Mill Waybetween 10am and 1pm on next Saturday, February 7.

Safer Neighbourhood PC Tony Knibb said: “We’d urge people to take the opportunity to come and see us.

“There’ll be a wealth of information on offer about crimes affecting the local area and we’ll also be registering people’s valuables so that if their property is ever lost or stolen and recovered by police, we will be able to identify the rightful owner and give the property back.

“We’ll also be on hand to speak to people who may have concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team also holds surgeries in Aldbury’s Post Office – the next ones start at 3pm on Thursday, February 26 and Friday, March 27.
