Challenge Yourself: Musical extravaganza to raise vital funds

This special event is to raise funds for Volunteer Centre Dacorum, transforming lives and building communities through volunteering on Saturday, October 4, 7.30pm to 11pm, Adeyfield Community Centre, Hemel Hempstead.

This is an evening of music performed by the renowned Village Jazz (www.villagejazz.co.uk) who are joined by a fantastic range of pop, jazz and country singers including Rebecca Madden (www.facebook.com/rebeccamaddenmusic), Janice Carol (www.janicecarol.com), Lesley Thomas and guitarist Ade Goodsall providing a music extravaganza that will suit all tastes.

The performers have all generously donated their time and skills to raise funds for Volunteer Centre Dacorum.

Our charity supports more than 470 other local groups to find the volunteers they need to keep vital services running. During the last decade we helped over 10,700 people of all ages, abilities and walks of life to become volunteers.

DENS

Homegrown charity DENS urgently needs willing and enthusiastic volunteers to help out at their night shelter.

The role of night shelter volunteer involves welcoming guests to the shelter and helping to prepare the evening meal.

After turning the dining room into a lounge for the evening, you’ll be able to spend some time getting to know the guests and helping to put them at their ease.

Help is needed during the week and at weekends from 6.45pm until 10.45pm. Volunteers should be 18 or over.
